癲癇症為兒童期最常見之慢性神經系統疾病。由於其疾病特性及社會烙印現象的雙重影響，嚴重干擾癲癇兒童的發展及生活品質。本文主旨在應用資料庫文獻回顧方式，統整相關兒童癲癇症研究之結果及建議為依據，經分析後發現可統整成「癲癇疾病相關因素」及「兒童個人特質因素」是主要影響癲癇兒童及家庭對疾病的適應之因素，佐以實證研究為依據提供療癒措施作為指引，期許健康專業人員瞭解如何協助癲癇兒童及其家庭適應癲癇慢性狀況、以促進生活品質。

Epilepsy is the most common chronic neurological disease in childhood. Both attributes of this disease and social stigma affect children's development and their quality of life. The purpose of this article is to review the literature related to children and their family adaptation with epilepsy, with emphasis on factors related to families and children's adaptation to disease management. We retrieved the factors by reviewing research findings in two major factors of "the epilepsy related factors" and "the individual related factors" that influence the adaptation of children and their family with epilepsy. Finally, useful information regarding therapeutic interventions are provided for health professionals in helping children and their family successful cope with epileptic chronic condition and enhancing their quality of life.
